BOSTON CANCUN FC, UNSTOPPABLE AT HOME; DEFEAT (2-1) TO DEPORTIVO CHETUMAL

The Caribbean team added its fifth victory at home and third in a row, after imposing conditions against the Chetumal team on the ninth day of the 2023-2024 Season of the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).

Cancún, Quintana Roo November 11, 2023.- Boston Cancún FC does not give ground at home, after nine days of the 2023-2024 Season of Group One (Southeast Zone) of the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).

The Quintana Roo battle between the Caribbeans, representatives of the north of the state against the southern cats on the synthetic field of the State High Performance Sports Center (CEDAR) in Cancun, pitted two squads in very opposite situations, one in search of ratifying its good campaign until now and another with the urgency of straightening the path.

Those led by the teacher, Edgar Iván Liévano Flores, took the lead on the scoreboard, at minute 15 to be exact, with a great goal from a free kick by the star, Juan 'El Turbo' Marín.

The celebration, with his teammates on top of him, caused the joy of the Cancun fans in the stands of the sports complex. Bostonians were facing new success in the campaign.

The Tigrillos would not give up so easily, since in the 36th minute they would even out the hostilities with a spectacular half scissor by Andry James that left the goalkeeper, Gastón Santos, without a chance, after Sebastián Cárdenas enabled his teammate on the right side. The Chetumaleños were in the fight.

It seemed that like this, with the score on equal terms, they would go to rest. But no, because the Caribbean would regain the lead (2-1) at 41' with another great goal, now courtesy of Jeremy Vega, with a powerful long-distance shot.

Already in the second half, Chetumal tried to equalize for the second time, but the Boston defense knew how to counteract the momentum of its rival. One of the clearest was when Omar Cristán shot, but in the background, the goalkeeper, Santos, controlled the action.

His fifth win at home (two at 'La Parcela' in Bonfil, two at Cedar and one at 'Andrés Quintana Roo') meant he scored 20 points.

On the tenth day, Boston Cancún FC will visit Inter Playa del Carmen, on Saturday, November 18 at the 'Mario Villanueva Madrid' Sports Unit.
