CANCUN FC ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF JORGE DÍAZ PRICE FOR THE 2024 CLAUSURA TOURNAMENT
The 25-year-old Cancun midfielder, former member of Esmeraldas de León in Liga MX and Eventon de Chile, is the first reinforcement of the Expansion League champion
Cancún, Quintana Roo December 12, 2023.- Return home! Jorge Díaz Price, a 25-year-old Cancun midfielder, is the first reinforcement of the MX Expansion League champion, facing the next Clausura 2024 Tournament.
The former member of Esmeraldas de León in Liga MX and Everton in Chile, signed this morning the contract that joins him to the team, headed by teacher, Luis Arce.
“I appreciate the reception from the board. It took several attempts to come, but until now it was possible. I am very happy and eager to train.
Cancún FC is a competitive team, with good players. Before, I had the opportunity to play for 'Andrés Quintana Roo', with Yalmakan,” declared the Caribbean soccer player.
Díaz Price was part of Atlante, from the age of ten until he was 15. Afterwards, he defended the colors of Yalmakan for three years.
In the Clausura 2017 he arrived at the now extinct, Sub 20 of León. He stood out in the Basic Forces of the Esmeraldas, which is why Gustavo Díaz debuted him in the First Division at the beginning of 2018 and was even listed as 'Rookie of the Year' in the Liga MX.
After the departure of the Uruguayan coach, he did not have regularity with Ignacio Ambriz and left the team in Clausura 2020, heading to Everton de Viña del Mar, owned by Grupo Pachuca. Ultimately, he would return with the beasts for the Apertura 2021, however, he emigrated from the shoal to join Yalmakan in the Premier League (Serie 'A').
