CANCUN FC CRASHES AGAINST ATLANTE FOR THE LEADERSHIP

Cancún, Quintana Roo October 25, 2023.- The penultimate day of the 2023 Apertura Tournament of the MX Expansion League will pit two of the leaders in search of leadership: Atlante and Cancún FC.
Colts and Iguanas, both with 22 points, have never been as even as they are until now, when the regular phase campaign is about to expire.
As if that were not enough, they will star in a new episode, the seventh of their nascent rivalry, fourth in the regular phase in the Ciudad de los Deportes, in addition to one in Reclassification (Clausura 2021).
The squad led by Luis Arce has seven wins, the same as in the Apertura 2020 and Clausura 2022, when it advanced to the Reclassification and Quarterfinals with Christian 'Chaco' Giménez and Federico Vilar, respectively.
In the Apertura 2020 he registered 24, his highest score so far, while in the Clausura 2022 he totaled 23.
In their most recent match, the Caribbean team achieved their second victory as a visitor against Alebrijes de Oaxaca, by a landslide (2-5).
With the draw (2-2) of Mineros against Cimarrones de Sonora, the Zacatecas have 24 points, with the possibility for the Caribbean to take over the top, as long as they triumph in Mexico City and Leones Negros of the University of Guadalajara I didn't beat Coyotes de Tlaxcala.

The Blaugrana are the best defense, with just six goals allowed. On the other hand, Daniel Lajud is their top net breaker with five goals, the same as the one from Cancun, Alfonso Tamay.
