IN VIBRANT GAME, BOSTON CANCUN FC FALLS (1-2) AT HOME AGAINST DEPORTIVA VENADOS
Henry Acosta and Almir Hernández scored for the horns on the synthetic field of the Cancún State High Performance Sports Center; Yoshua Alamilla momentarily equalized with a superb goal, during matchday 19 of the 2023-2024 LTDP Season
Cancún, Quintana Roo March 2, 2024.- Intense, controversial, a screaming game was played out by Boston Cancún FC and Deportiva Venados on the synthetic field of the High Performance State Sports Center (CEDAR), corresponding to matchday 19 of the 2023 Season -2024 of the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).
In the end, the visitors emerged victorious (1-2) with goals from Henry Acosta and Almir Hernández. Yoshua Alamilla scored for the home team, with an incredible goal.
The hosts caused the first danger option, when Alejandro Álvarez shot from the left, requiring the goalkeeper, Mauricio Peniche, to deflect for a corner kick.
Later, Joel Alemán took a long-distance shot, to the side of the horned hut.
The people of Cancun dominated, they played better, they had control of the game, however, it was the Yucatecans who broke the score through Henry Acosta at 19', who took advantage of a failure by the Caribbean defense to crash the ball in the heart of the area and beat the goalkeeper, Lusiel Gómez.
As expected, the horned ones retreated in their eagerness to maintain the advantage. Opposite, the Bostonians exhausted all resources to seek the equalizer.
Intense, closed, until that moment with some visitors stuck with the truck behind, it provoked a genius from Yoshua Alamilla in the 71st minute with a shot from very far away, from the right sector, into the angle of the goalkeeper, Mauricio Peniche. Great goal!
The duel was experiencing its best moments, with the Bostonians launched in search of victory. Juan Marín, Romario Domínguez and Alamilla himself were a headache for Deportiva Venados.
Romario Domínguez had the chance to turn the score around in his boots, when he escaped at full speed through the center of the field, taking the defense with speed. When he was alone in front of the goalkeeper, Peniche, burst his shot into the goalkeeper's humanity. Deer were saved!
One play later, the Yucatecans surprised with the second, courtesy of Almir Hernández five minutes from the end, just when they were experiencing moments of pressure.
The ending was more than exciting. The Cancunenses offended their rival, including the goalkeeper, Lusiel Gómez, who had joined the attack. In a header that Lusiel himself attempted, it collided with the head of the goalkeeper, Peniche.
As a result of the play, the whistler sent off Gómez, a situation that led to a fight, in which the visitors also attacked Yoshua Alamilla.
The defeat, their second at Cedar de Cancún, leaves Boston Cancún FC with 35 points. The bulls agreed to 41.
On matchday 20, those led by the teacher, Edgar Iván Liévano, will visit Campeche FC Nueva Generación, on Saturday, March 9.
