Cancún, Quintana Roo September 16, 2023.- A double by Diego Arreola in the first half, led Boston Cancún FC to a landslide victory (5-1) against Club Deportivo de Fútbol Zitácuaro in the 2023-2024 Season of the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).
The number '149' of the Caribbean was a real threat for the visitors at the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium.
First, at 17', with a cross shot to the right post and later, at 44', in a similar action, the hosts took the lead in the match.
Despite the intense heat, those led by the teacher, Edgar Iván Liévano, were more ambitious against a rival who put up resistance at the start of the game, but who little by little deflated, until allowing Arreola's double.
The second half began and the Tabasco team shortened the distance, with a goal from Andrés Josué Hernández, after a mistake by the goalkeeper, Emiliano Reyes.
The Cancunenses' response was immediate and with a score by Geremy Vega in the 48th minute, they regained the two-goal lead.
While Boston Cancún FC showed off in front of its fans in the building in superblock 21, the visitors retreated to avoid a heavier defeat. In the end, they did not achieve their objective, since in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, Fernando Rangel, Alejandro Núñez scored the fourth for Boston Cancún FC.
The duel was dying, however, the home team made the spectacular victory possible with the fifth, at 87', via maximum penalty, courtesy of Enoc 'Chino' Márquez.
In this way, he added his first three units. Instead, the people of Tabasco will return to Villahermosa empty-handed.
On the second day, the Caribbean squad will visit Progreso FC, on Saturday, September 23.
