Catrinas, altars, activities for children, bread of the dead, surprise contests, drone shows, and of course, 'The Great Game' of influencers between Mexico and Colombia, round out the party

Cancún, Quintana Roo, November 3, 2024.- Cancún FC celebrated its second 'Day of the Dead' Festival on the esplanade of the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium.

The Iguanas project aims to be a cultural and entertainment meeting point for all ages, and proof of this was the event it organized to remember the faithful departed.

Catrinas, altars, activities for children, bread of the dead, surprise contests, a drone show, and of course, 'The Great Game' of influencers between Mexico and Colombia, rounded out the party to the delight of children and adults.

At 6:00 p.m., the popular festival began with the presence of influencers from Mexico.
The kids from Futdown Cancún also attended, led by teacher Lluvia Buenfil, who received a donation from the Iguanas board of directors.

The second edition of the 'Day of the Dead' Festival was made possible thanks to the combined efforts of the Cancún FC board of directors and authorities of the Benito Juárez City Council, through the Municipal President, Ana Paty Peralta and the Secretary of Welfare, in charge of Berenice Sosa Osorio, in addition to LED Event Technology, one of the main sponsors.

The party culminated with 'The Big Game', the return match between the influencer teams of Mexico and Colombia at the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium. In the end, the victory (2-1) favored the coffee growers with goals from 'Joselu' (25') and 'Vinicol' (38'). Aldo de Nigris scored for the Aztecs (76').

The Colombians were awarded the trophy as the winner of the match, while the 'Most Valuable Player' (MVP) was 'Vinicol'. 'Javetas' was named as 'Best Goalkeeper'.
