CANCUN FC CELEBRATES GERMAN TRADITION WITH 'OKTOBERFEST'
The event represents a unique platform that will allow the German community living in Cancun to share its legacy, in addition to positioning the destination in the cultural and sports fields.
Cancún, Quintana Roo, September 3, 2024.- Cancún FC celebrates German tradition in 'paradise' with its 'Oktoberfest', in the Tourist Lounge of the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium, designed to attract international tourism and position it as a leading destination for cultural and sporting events.
Backed by brands such as Adidas and prestigious local sponsors, the Festival promises high standards of quality, with gastronomy, drinks and entertainment that pay tribute to German culture, an unforgettable experience.
The appointment is on Friday 4th (4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and Saturday 4th October (2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), respectively, with a cost of 100 (pre-sale) and 200 pesos (day of the event).
“It is a pleasure to be here to announce this great event. As a club, and we always say it, we want to be more than just football, to unite sport, culture and art in this space (Tourist Lounge). It is an honor to work with you on this 'Oktoberfest', in our home, to promote tourism in Cancun,” explained Giovanni Solazzi, vice president of the Iguanas at a press conference.
For his part, Eduardo Domínguez Ibarra, executive vice president of the Association of Hotels of Cancún, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres, said that 'it is a great idea to take advantage of this space to invite tourists and unite the local community with the German community that lives in the destination, so we are going to work to promote it, since cultural exchange is important.'
'Oktoberfest by Cancún FC' aims to become an annual tradition, a must for residents and international tourists.
"We are joining this effort by Cancún FC, we will work together hand in hand, we will promote with our members and the citizens to celebrate the first edition of 'Oktoberfest'," said Sergio León, president of 'Entrepreneurs for Quintana Roo'.
The meeting with the media was also attended by Héctor Restrepo, deputy director of LED Event, and Eduardo Morán, representing Juan Pablo de Zulueta, Secretary of Tourism in Benito Juárez.
