Cancún, Quintana Roo January 17, 2024.- Cancún FC, champion of the MX Expansion League, is betting on Cancun talent in search of generating identity in the city, and therefore, being a great platform for its youth players.
Recently in the duel against Alebrijes de Oaxaca, corresponding to the second day of the 2024 Clausura Tournament, the Iguanas debuted the wing defender, Jonathan Andrés Hernández Ocaña, a member of Pioneros Cancún FC of the Premier League Serie 'A'.
The 20-year-old footballer was considered by the technical director, Luis Arce, in the 85th minute to replace Johan Alonzo.
“I really like working with young people, projecting them, but as long as they earn it. Here, we rarely give the opportunity for its own sake.
If the player is well and competes at a good level with the first team, remains constant over time and that opportunity is given, due to a certain situation of a teammate, we will put them in, but they have to earn it," the teacher warned. Luis Arce.
For the duel against the Itsmeños, the technical director of the Iguanas called three elements from Pioneros Cancún FC: José Daniel González, Emiliano Martínez and the debutant, Jonathan Hernández.
In the Apertura 2023, on Tuesday, September 19 (matchday 10), in the win (5-2) that the Caribbean team achieved against Cimarrones de Sonora at the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium, José Daniel González made his presentation with the first team .
