CANCUN FC JOINS THE 'ABUELOTON' 2024 CAMPAIGN
The Iguanas will donate the box office proceeds from the game against Tampico Madero in Zona Oriente General to support elderly people in vulnerable situations
Cancún, Quintana Roo, August 23, 2024.- Cancún FC joins the 'Abuelotón' 2024 campaign, promoted by the Benito Juárez City Council through Radio Cultural Ayuntamiento (RCA), with the aim of achieving a more humanistic, supportive and inclusive society, with respect, equal rights and opportunities for all.
As a socially responsible company, it not only focuses its attention on sports, but also carries out social work activities in the constant search to generate identity in the city.
The Iguanas will donate the box office proceeds from the game this Saturday, August 24 against Tampico Madero in Zona Oriente General, within the framework of the National Day of the Elderly, which is commemorated every August 28. Later, on Monday 26 at noon, they will deliver their donation on the esplanade of the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium.
Since the campaign began on July 15, the goal is to surpass the 13,168 articles of the previous edition, which demonstrates the commitment of the people of Cancun, public servants and the business sector to the elderly community in the municipality.
In addition to the various departments of the Benito Juárez City Council, educational institutions, private companies and professional sports (Pioneros de Cancún, Tigres de Quintana Roo and of course, the Champion of Champions of the 2023-2024 Season of the Liga de Expansión MX) teamed up to join forces to improve the quality of life of the elderly.
