CANCUN FC UNITES SPORT, COMMUNITY AND ANIMAL PROTECTION

The Iguanas announce their alliance with the Cancun Fire Department and the Luum Balicheo Animal Protection Society, which seeks to inspire children and young people by raising awareness about respect and protection of all species.

Cancún, Quintana Roo, September 26, 2024.- Cancún FC unites sport, community and animal protection, an alliance that seeks to inspire children and young people, raising awareness about respect and protection of all species.

Ángel Lorca, commercial manager of Las Iguanas, explained at a press conference at the facilities of the Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association that 'through this joint effort, we aspire to transmit values of teamwork and social responsibility, with the power of sport to achieve the common good.'

“We are convinced that we are on the right path, and what better way to promote this alliance than with the Luum Balicheo Animal Protection Society and the Cancun Fire Department.

With the celebration of the 'Oktoberfest' (Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October in the 'Tourist Lounge' of the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium), a 100% Cancún FC event, we mark the beginning of this relationship. We will have great guests and involving Luum Balicheo allows us to provide this part of integration and/or family coexistence, and share it with the German community living in the city," said Lorca.

He added that 'we will have a very specific stand for Luum Balicheo, since with their 'Oktoberfest' ticket they will be able to exchange it for one to participate in the raffle for prizes from the sponsors and in upcoming Cancún FC events, we will announce who the winners will be; in addition, of course, we will allocate approximately five percent for this part of social work with the Society for the Protection of Animals'.

For her part, Sara Rincón Gallardo, Founder of the Luum Balicheo Animal Protection Society, acknowledged that 'we have to awaken love for animals, they are living beings and deserve respect, and these alliances allow us to achieve that goal.'

Daniel Gallareta, representing Aquileo Cervantes Álvarez, director of the Cancún Fire Department, also attended the meeting with the media.
