Cancún, Quintana Roo, September 9, 2024.- Cancún FC will take a break from the 2024 Apertura Tournament of the Liga de Expansión MX, however, it will take advantage of its break to travel to the United States and face Louisville City in an international friendly match, at 'Lynn Family Stadium'.
On July 27, the Iguanas faced Austin FC II, the MLS Next Pro champion, in Austin Texas. The game was called 'Champion vs Champion'!, with a victory (2-1) for the Americans.
For those led by Professor Luis Arce, their commitment to Louisville City represents the internationalization of their brand as ambassadors of one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.
Founded on June 4, 2014, the American team is based in Louisville, Kentucky. It plays in the USL Championship, the second tier of American soccer.
