Coming from Venados FC, the 24-year-old forward is one of the Iguanas' new additions for the next semester

Cancún, Quintana Roo, July 9, 2024.- Cancún FC is strengthening its offense ahead of the 2024 Apertura Tournament of the Liga de Expansión MX, and its first new addition is the Cancun forward, Mauro Pérez Guadarrama, from Venados FC.

The 24-year-old footballer (born on February 26, 2000 in Cancún, Quintana Roo), began his adventure in 2015 with the Centro Universitario del Fútbol, a subsidiary of the Tuzos del Pachuca, until becoming part of the Hidalgo youth team in 2016 and later, in 2020, of the U20.

Atlético San Luis (2020) opted to add him to its youth teams, however, he only played six games, four with the U-20 team and another two with the Premier category squad (in all of them he was a substitute).

A year later, he played for the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro U20 team. He would go on to play a total of 15 games, scoring three goals.

In mid-2021, he would defend the colors of Venados FC. With the horned ones, he debuted on July 27 against the Toros del Atlético Celaya at the 'Carlos Iturralde Rivero' stadium, replacing Jorge 'Chatón' Enríquez. On that occasion, his then team lost (1-2).

On August 31st, against Cimarrones de Sonora, he would make his debut as a goal scorer. Now, in Cancún FC, he will coincide with another Caribbean player: Jorge Díaz Price.
