PIONEROS CANCUN FC FALLS AT HOME TO CAFETALEROS DE CHIAPAS

An early goal from Farid Patjane leads the visitors to victory (2-4) at the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium, on matchday 28 of the 2023-2024 Season of the Premier League Serie 'A', Group Two

Cancún, Quintana Roo March 16, 2024.- Although they were close to a tie when they lost (1-2), Pioneros Cancún FC fell (2-4) with their heads held high against Cafetaleros de Chiapas at the 'Andrés stadium Quintana Roo', on matchday 28 of the 2023-2024 Season of the Premier League Serie 'A', Group Two.

Cafetaleros surprised Pioneros with a lethal counterattack that opened the scoring, just two minutes in, when Farid Patjane evaded the exit of the goalkeeper, Cristopher Andrade, to shoot him with a soft touch, at the first post.

Subsequently, the Colombian, Klinsman Calderón, would have the chance to score a second for the visitors, but he failed to hit the ball at the base of the right post.

José Daniel González made a mistake in defense, when he did not speak with the goalkeeper, Cristopher Andrade, which Klinsman Calderón himself took advantage of, now in the 14th minute, with the first of a double in his individual account. At that moment, those in white were already winning (0-2).

The Caribbean tried to react through Antonio López and Emiliano Martínez, until that moment with little luck. It was at 38' that Jaime Guzmán and Tony himself triangulated, which allowed Tonatihu Hernández, in front of the goal, to connect a powerful shot, hitting the base of the left post. Pioneros was getting closer (1-2).

The second half began and the hosts were close to equalizing the score, but Jaime Guzmán and Antonio López could not finish off the Chiapas cabin, when it seemed that the goalkeeper, Jason Antonio Ávalos, was already defeated.

Pioneros was launched into the attack, however, Cafetaleros cooled their rival's spirits through an own goal by Jorge Reynoso in the 54th minute. It was 1-3 for the Chiapas.
Then, at 60', Klinsman Calderón scored the fourth, on a counterattack.

Despite the result, the home team never stopped fighting, and proof of this is that Antonio López scored the second for his team, in the 72nd minute.

The result leaves those led by Enrique Vela at 34 units. For its part, Cafetaleros agreed to 40.

On matchday 29, the people of Cancun will draw their third consecutive match at the building in superblock 21, this time against Escorpiones de Zacatepec, on Saturday, March 23.
