The forward, former member of Tuzos del Pachuca and Águilas del América, is the third new addition to the Iguanas for the 2025 Clausura Tournament of the Expansion League

Cancun, Quintana Roo January 9, 2025.- Sergio de los Ríos Petzña is the third new addition to Cancún FC for the 2025 Clausura Tournament of the MX Expansion League.

The 21-year-old left-footed center forward, originally from Mexico City, is 1.82 meters tall and weighs 72 kilograms. He comes from Pachuca, with whom he debuted in the defeat (0-1) of the Tuzos, on the opening day of the 2024 Apertura Tournament, on July 7, 2024 against Rayados de Monterrey (he entered for Alan Bautista in the 66th minute).

From that moment on, he would add four more appearances with the first team against San Luis, Pumas, Toluca and Chivas, all as a substitute, respectively.

During his time at the 'Bella Airosa', he played for the Under 23, participating in a total of 19 matches. His last match with Tuzos in this category was against América, corresponding to the Quarterfinals of the Apertura 2024, with a defeat (1-4) for his team, on November 23.

In the 2023-2024 campaign, he made three appearances in the Leagues Cup, also with the Hidalgo team against New York Red Bull, Toronto FC and Tigres, in that order.

He had a process with América, from the 2018-2019 campaign, when he was part of the Under 15 and 17, until the Under 23, in 2023-2024.
