A goal by Cristian Uc Méndez at 17' put him against the wall, however, he reacted with a double by Juan Marín and one more by Aldo Solano to shape the score (3-1) at the CEDAR in Cancún against the Champotón squad, on the sixth day of the 2024-2025 Season of the Third Professional Division
Cancún, Quintana Roo, October 19, 2024.- Boston Cancún FC continues unstoppable in the 2024-2025 Season of the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).
The Iguanas' affiliate added its fifth victory, second as a local, this time (3-1) against Pampaneros de Champotón, on the synthetic field of the State High Performance Sports Center (CEDAR) in Cancún, corresponding to the sixth day of the competition.
Their new success allows the team led by professor Edgar Iván Liévano Flores to access 17 points and reaffirm their leadership in Group One. The team from Campeche stagnated at three.
It was a difficult start for the hosts, when the visitors surprised with a goal from Cristian Uc Méndez, via a counterattack, which forced the goalkeeper, Sergio Rubio, to face him one-on-one. In the end, the number '11' ended up overtaking him in the 17th minute.
Despite the disadvantage, the hosts did not give up and in the 36th minute, Juan Marín equalised the score. Boston was back in the game.
The end of the first half was hectic, with the Bostonians attacking in search of the equalizer. Marini Flores, Aldo Solano and Juan 'Turbo' Marín himself were a headache for the Pampaneros defense.
The second half began and Boston Cancún FC made the comeback effective (2-1) with another goal from Marín at 46', this time through a run down the left, to beat the goalkeeper, Miguel Díaz, with a low shot.
Not even the rain prevented the Caribbeans from taking control of the match. Pampaneros were now more concerned with defending than attacking. Boston took advantage of the moment and in a new counterattack, Aldo Solano sealed the victory (3-1) at 71' with a shot to the center by goalkeeper Díaz.
On the seventh day, Boston Cancún FC will visit Atlético Quintanarroense, on Saturday, October 26 at Deportivo Viany.
