Cancún, Quintana Roo February 17, 2024.- Boston Cancún FC is back in the 2023-2024 Season of the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).

After a couple of setbacks, the Caribbean team returned to the path of victory, with a spectacular (5-0) victory against ISG Sport FC of Ciudad del Carmen, corresponding to matchday 17 of the competition (Group One, Southeast Zone).

From the whistle of the referee, Iridian Pinzón, the hosts took the initiative of the match on the synthetic field of the State High Performance Sports Center (Cedar) with important chances, mainly from Joel Alemán, Diego Arreola and Ismael Mendoza.

It was not until the 20th minute that those led by the teacher, Edgar Iván Liévano, opened the scoring with a header from Diego Arreola, derived from a free kick from the left, which beat the goalkeeper, Antonio Méndez.

The Cancunenses extended the lead (2-0) at 30', when Diego Arreola escaped at full speed through the center of the field, evaded the defense's mark and took a powerful shot, impossible for the goalkeeper, Méndez.

Still in the 39th minute, Arreola himself made it 3-0 with a colorful 'hat', leaving Méndez without a chance. Boston Cancún FC was heading towards a resounding victory.

With morale at its peak, due to the advantage they had on the scoreboard, the people of Cancun had the luxury of offending the Carmelites again and again. Another pair of scores, courtesy of Ismael Mendoza and Joel Alemán, at 51' and 76', respectively, caused a great result for the Bostonians.

In Mendoza's goal, Arreola assisted him with an excellent service from the left, just for him to hit the ball and score the fourth. Minutes later, Alemán escaped from the left and with a great goal to the left corner by Méndez made the final 5-0 possible.

Not to change, the visitors missed a couple of maximum penalties by Carlos Baca and Isaac Reyes.

Their eighth success at home and fifth at the Cedar in Cancún, allows Boston Cancún FC to add 32 points. ISG Sport FC remains winless, with just three points.

On matchday 18, the Cancún FC subsidiary will visit Pampaneros de Champotón, next Saturday, February 24.
