CANCÚN FC CELEBRATES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH BUSINESSMEN FROM QUINTANA ROO
The agreement seeks to consolidate the promotion of Cancun as a sports tourism destination through the experiences offered by the Iguanas at the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium
Cancún, Quintana Roo, June 17, 2024.- Cancún FC is betting on a great strategic alliance with Empresarios por Quintana Roo to highlight its mission 'Discovering Mexico through football', starting with its fans, but with an eye on the international market.
“As you know, Cancún FC is a project that seeks the First Division and this type of strategy is precisely the way to achieve that goal before the Mexican Football Federation, visualize it as something serious. For now, in our short history, we have a title (Apertura 2023) and a Champion of Champions (Season 2023-2024).
With the 'Tourist Lounge' project, the idea is precisely to attract tourism based on strengthening our gastronomic diversity and amenities that we offer at the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium (Band, DJ, After Party), which have given us very good results so far. We have alliances with different hotels and hostels, where we sell bracelets to access this area," said Mauricio Lorca, Commercial Director of Cancún FC at a press conference at the facilities of the Cancún and Puerto Morelos Hotel Association.
Sergio León (President of 'Entrepreneurs for Quintana Roo'), Melissa Bugarini (President of 'Entrepreneurs for Quintana Roo' in Benito Juárez) and Mercy Bezaleel (President of Chefs for Quintana Roo), respectively, also attended the meeting with the media.
This business group has important commercial links in various countries, such as Spain, Vietnam, Malaysia and China.
“It is an honor for the institution to open its doors to this type of allies who proudly carry the Mexican flag for the benefit of tourism, the economy and national trade,” added Lorca.
For his part, Sergio León praised the importance of Cancun as a sports tourism destination.
“It is very important because it allows us to attract a large market, especially when we talk about the Middle East or Asia, countries that due to culture or religion do not seek a beach or sunny destination.
"The part of promoting sports or gastronomic tourism, and linking both aspects, can generate a large per capita income for the state," said the President of 'Entrepreneurs for Quintana Roo'.
