Cancún, Quintana Roo, June 14, 2024.- Cancún FC, Champion of Champions of the 2023-2024 Season of the Liga de Expansión MX, will draw an international friendly match against Louisville City FC on July 13 at 'Lynn Family Stadium', as part of its preparation for the 2024 Apertura Tournament.
The Iguanas are back after enjoying their vacation period, with renewed hopes in search of a new star.
Founded on June 4, 2014, the North American team is based in Louisville, Kentucky. It plays in the USL Championship, the second tier of soccer in that country.
It is owned by John Nace and managed by fellow American Danny Cruz.
Its Lynn Family Stadium has a capacity for 11,700 fans, although it is planned to expand it to 15,000. Its record includes a pair of titles (2017 and 2018).
Also identified as 'LouCity' and 'The Boys in Purple', its ranks include players such as goalkeepers Danny Faundez, Damián Las and Ryan Troutman, according to its official website.
Aiden McFadden, Jake Morris, Sean Tostch, Arturo Ordoñez, Wes Charpie, Amadou Dia, Sam Gleadle, Kyle Adams, Sebastián Sánchez, Owen Damm, Hayden Stamps, are his defenders.
