The Iguanas had a great reception at the Glorieta del Ceviche to celebrate their new conquest, which confirms them as the best team of the year in the Liga de Expansión MX
Cancún, Quintana Roo, May 20, 2024.- Cancún is celebrating! Its representative in the Liga de Expansión MX, Cancún FC, the new Champion of Champions, received a great reception from its fans at the Glorieta del Ceviche to pay tribute to it, after its victory against the Potros de Hierro del Atlante in the City of Sports.
With the trophy that accredits them as the best team of the 2023-2024 Season, the board of directors, coaching staff and players of the Iguanas landed after 6:00 p.m. at the air terminal and later, in a yellow double-decker Turibus, they moved to the first square of the city to celebrate with their fans.
The champions' cheerleading group 'La Malagua' also came to make the celebration even more spectacular. Turquoise and black flags waved in all their splendour to extol the heroic feat.
Starting this Monday, the squad will break ranks to enjoy a vacation period, since in mid-June they will resume activities for the Apertura 2024.
