The Iguanas will join the third edition of the grand event, which will bring together grill restaurants and chefs from other states as guests, this Saturday, April 6 at Acamaya Weddings

Cancún, Quintana Roo, April 4, 2024.- Cancún FC, champion of the Expansion League, promotes the gastronomic sector with its participation in the third edition of the Caribbean Grill Festival, to be held this Saturday, April 6 in Puerto Morelos.

“Those who know us know that as a club we are involved in everything: sports, culture, art and now gastronomy, so being able to be there and sponsor is, of course, a great honour.

"We are going to have surprises, not only for next Tuesday's game against Dorados de Sinaloa. Don't forget to visit us," said Diego Rodríguez, marketing director for the Iguanas.

The grand event will bring together 20 grill restaurants and chefs from other states as guests, as well as music, drinks, crafts and an estimated attendance of 400 people at Acamaya Weddings, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., which will shape a great gastronomic, cultural and artistic experience.

"We are returning to Puerto Morelos, our home (the venue for the first edition), promoting gastronomic tourism in Quintana Roo and the Mexican Caribbean. What interests us most is family gatherings, promoting gastronomy, yes, to everything, but with the emphasis that all our events are family-oriented," said chef Marcy Bezaleel, commercial director of 'Lumina Sabor'.

Visitors will be able to sample traditional meats such as pork, beef, chicken, but also ostrich, buffalo and quail, to name a few, all grilled, embers and smoked, etc.

“The public will be able to enjoy food, drinks, beach, live music, rock. The first edition was in Puerto Morelos, precisely, and the second, in Isla Mujeres,” said chef Luis David Sánchez Orea, vice president of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry in the youngest municipality in the state.

Sergio León, president of the business community for Quintana Roo, chef Armando Alvarado, president of CANIRAC in Puerto Morelos, and chef Ari Morales, a restaurateur, also attended the meeting with the media.
