CANCUN FC BEGINS TRIALS IN SEARCH OF NEW TALENTS

Nearly two hundred boys from the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 categories report to the 'Guillermo Cañedo' courts, in superblock 21, to participate in this stage of testing.

Cancún, Quintana Roo, November 28, 2024.- Cancún FC began its tryouts with great success, thanks to the participation of almost two hundred kids looking for a place with Boston Cancún FC, its affiliate in the Third Professional Division League (LTDP).

Starting this Thursday on the 'Guillermo Cañedo' courts, in superblock 21, the Iguanas observed prospects born in the years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, led by the sports coordinator of the Third Division and Basic Forces, professor, Jesús Enrique Carbajal.

“Out of a total of 235 kids who signed up, approximately 180 arrived. We have already made a first cut in preparation for the second day of tryouts (ages between 14 and 17 years old),” said Carbajal, who also serves as a goalkeeping coach with Cancún FC in the Expansion League.

This Friday, November 29, starting at eight in the morning, this testing period will continue with activities such as individual technique and physical conditioning.

The technical team that supervised the trials was headed by the technical director, Edgar Iván Liévano, accompanied by Rodrigo Cetina and Ernesto Báez (assistants), Axel Rivero (physical trainer), Alan Flores (goalkeeping coach) and Jorge Peñate (doctor).

Prior to the testing phase in Cancun, the Iguanas did the same in Querétaro, also with a great response, almost a hundred children of the same ages.

“We are very happy, really, very surprised by the response from the people in Querétaro. We found good talents with a very promising future. The project is expanding nationwide with great success,” said Carbajal.
