Four-time League champion in the top circuit (twice with León, Guadalajara and Santos), of Ascenso with the Esmeraldas themselves and of other tournaments, such as the Copa MX and Supercopa, in addition to his experience in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the Tricolor, he was also fundamental for the Iguanas in winning the title, first, in the Apertura 2023, and then, the Campeón de Campeones, which consolidated them as the best team in the 2023-2024 Season of the Expansion League.
Coming from Xolos de Tijuana, the Guanajuato native arrived in Cancun last summer, as the big signing, at that time, ahead of the 2023 Apertura.
During the year he was part of the squad led by professor Luis Arce, the 36-year-old midfielder played 36 games (26 in the regular phase, eight in the Liguilla and two in the Campeón de Campeones), during which time he scored one goal, in the Semifinals against Mineros de Zacatecas.
